OK, I’m convinced. Every character in this strip is a low grade moron. I say bring back the old regulars like Corky, Skeezix & Nina, Walt. And get rid of the imbecilic story lines (Chef Meowrice, digging a tunnel to get booze, Slim dropping a meteor on the basketball court, etc.)

Sure, 29-year-old married father of a four-year-old, JOIN THE ARMY.

Y’know, when this story started, I thought, “Oh, good, a story about an actual Wallet family member who ISN’T SLIM.” This kind of thing is why I spent three months of 2007 writing an alternate story on the GA message board at the old comicspage.com website (Gretchen and Nubbin went to Europe, met a heretofore-unknown relative in France and Gretchen met a guy on the flight home. And back in the States, 14-year-old Gus started a lawn-care service to make some extra money).

I see some familiar names from the old page, hi guys. Paul, any time you want to start an alternate thread is fine by me. I was disappointed by this story line too.

Hopefully, Rover aint abut ta joein. Cute to put things in perspective. I knew a ?lady? who actually tried to kill her hubby. Whoa, she still had not noticed how lucky she was that he jumped out of the way fast. And a very godly man I met had to divorce his wife after he became a Holy Spirit filled Christeean, because all of a sudden he never hit her, and she felt so freaked out that she started trying to make him act the way he had before. He gave up when she smacked his head hard with an iron frypan. He just gave up. Didnt move to harmy-ville, tho. :-D This comic rocks!
