    Beans on cornbread - that’s a meal - i always loved to mash the beans with a fork into the crumbled cornbread

    That’s typical British fare. My mother was born and raised in Scotland, and that’s something she gave my sister and I quite often. It’s really good. You shouldn’t knock something until you try it. It’s the brown beans—on toast with a little butter.
