    Joe Allen, that never happen when we were kids. Back in the 1960ā€™s and ā€˜70ā€™s, food banks never ran out of food because of joblessness. Itā€™s stupid.

    this is a very touchy subject these days, there seem to be a lot more people who are jobless now than in the 50ā€™s 60ā€™s and even the 70ā€™s. but then there are some people who will, even though they are working, go to the local food banks just because they are available

    I may be an old bachelor, but I can tell you that eggplant is great. I slice it and either bread it and fry it in hot oil or basically saute it with onions and diced tomatoes with chilies. That said, I have never made an ā€œeggplant casseroleā€ and probably never will.

    Ditto, DoctorToon. My Mom used to cook eggplant. At first, my seven sibs and I hated it but we got used to it
