Laura: Adam. Don't forget your promise to Katy. Adam: That I'll use q-tips from now on? Laura: No. That you'll help with her school's food drive. Adam: Oh, that... Laura: Adam, people need help. And we have plenty of good food to donate. Adam: Can I donate your eggplant casserole? Laura: (sigh) They need packaged food... Adam: And they've probably been through enough already.

Egg plant can be absolutely delicious. If she doesn’t know how to do it, I’m sorry for him.

Joe Allen, that never happen when we were kids. Back in the 1960’s and ‘70’s, food banks never ran out of food because of joblessness. It’s stupid.

this is a very touchy subject these days, there seem to be a lot more people who are jobless now than in the 50’s 60’s and even the 70’s. but then there are some people who will, even though they are working, go to the local food banks just because they are available

I may be an old bachelor, but I can tell you that eggplant is great. I slice it and either bread it and fry it in hot oil or basically saute it with onions and diced tomatoes with chilies. That said, I have never made an “eggplant casserole” and probably never will.

Ditto, DoctorToon. My Mom used to cook eggplant. At first, my seven sibs and I hated it but we got used to it
