Is anybody else having these stupid Office Max ads blocking the comic strip ?

Just now did it to me. Anyone know who to contact?

Kind of like being a doctor in flu season.

When news is bad it’s good.

Subscrubers don’t get those ads. I think it is worth the money to avoid the annoyance and have full access to archives.

The only commercial adds I’m seeing are on the tube.

If it was good news or really, really good news, it just wouldn’t be news in the news business.

Is Shoe trying to find the bright side in all things or is he just pragmatic enough to be a good editor? Alas, me thinks it be the latter choice.

Almost as bad as Netflix ads. I refuse to patronize either one.

The drive-by media can put a spin on anything, oh you know “crucifictions R us”.

I use firefox with adblock pro… no ads … for me

I use AVG with pop up blocker.

AMEN, Firefox has a pop-up blocker, though I do get extra Firefox windows with netflix or classmates.com ads. Annoying, but at least those ads are easier to hide.

I can put up with it for the sake of the comics - sacrifices must be made.

Yeah. I use Firefox with AdBlock and NoScript myself. I highly recommend them.

I’m not seeing any ads. What do they say? Am I missing any good sales?

lol jtp. I use Firefox with NoScript. No more waiting for ads to load so you can see the page!

Susan, basic subscription is free.

Get a hosts file at mvps.org, and you’ll see a few side boxes with ‘Unable to connect to…’ when it tries to find that ad URL on localhost. Also keeps out various spybots and parasites. Also works nicely on Ubuntu and Firefox.

Doc Toon, Must have been L&F show there in Denver, huh? A couple weeks ago, they were talking about why CU has such a crummy team, despite having Dan H for coach. Started throwing aspersions on the other good teams like TCU & Boise State, saying who knows, maybe they cheat. Apparently unaware that BSU’s Coach Pete was there when Dan was, AND is still there. Just let us to our 4th undefeated regular season in a row. Just sayin’ (I know I am totally off topic here) - the things that pass as entertainment at times…
