Yes, Iâm glad this storyline is winding down. It almost has to get better.
He looks a little different from the last time I saw him, but I think thatâs old Diet Smith himself. Save us, Diet! Save us from this mediocre storyline!
Grok, I asked one of your questions from the start; who the heck passed her on the background check? So much for the cityâs HR department! If Tracy is smart, they need to cuff her, send her to the hospital for a checkup, and then stuff her in a cell while Jimmy files extradition papers. If she is a US citizen, Jimmy has problems, big time! The FBI has jurisdiction in this case; not Mayberry. That, Mr. Locher, gives you an out from this horribly-presented story!
Hmmm, letâs see now, Shirl is an escaped mental patient but somehow wound up a Tracyâs elite detective squad AND was a cohort of Baskerville!?!?!
The next arc simply HAS TO BE BETTER than this nonsense.
Well, NOW that Shirl Locke is talking about hereself in the third person, we can all be sure she is insane. As if barging into the bank screaming âWHEREâS THE LOOT!!!â was not a good enough hint.
Grok, yeah, spot on!! Exactly what I thought when I looked at DTâs arm. WTF?
The fact that Diet has a SUPRISE for DT sounds suspiciously like the Dr. Freud scandal from â06, or the SUPRISE Tess had for DT after the diamond hoax last fall. But, could anything be worse than perpetuating this âbank jobâ arc for longer than necessary??? Wait, that happened about 4 weeks ago. New story line, please!
Happy Sunday DTracy, have a turkey sandwich on the house. Donât worry that it is glowing, thatâs just the irradation.
Well, at least I learned that I shouldnât leave my carâs engine running while I go off to make a phone call. I wondered what happened to all those cars.
This ending has shifted into turbo absurdity! Inspector Moriarity tracks Shirl Locke to the bank! She escaped from a mental institution. Dig that crazy perspective in the 6th panel. And oh, how Diet Smith has changed. The words escape me!
Greetings all! So nice to find the new hideout - I mean hangout - for many old friends from the Trib board. Not so amazingly the Yahell DT group speaks little of the on going strip, and when it does the love just oozes off the screen.
This strip has taken me from âmaybe it will make a comebackâ to âitâs like a fatal car accidentâ - horrifying but I just canât look away.
But yet - here I am wondering whatâs new at the Diet Smith labsâŠ
Tracyâs nose too small and âpinchedâ looking. Arms of characters freakishly short. And hands much too tiny. Next to last panel, âShirlâ is supposed to be in the foreground, but Tracy is enormous in comparison.

Moriarity is holding onto his badge with nubs. Did the dogs get to his fingers??
Plus itâs time to cart the body out.
