Some pleasant surprises in testerday’s Sunday page, No yellow rubber duckie and I realize that for the first time in years there is NO “paste up” repeat panel. All were otiginal panels! Locher usually had TWO per Sunday and on a good weekend only one. That practise has been staple fare for over 15 years.
Suggests Brozman is now doing not only the “inking” but the original pencil work as well.
“With a little bit of luck” (as they sing in ‘My Fair Lady’) hopefully we can see Tracy come back to what we remember with nostalgia.
Like …
1) Wearing a hat regularly and not only in 4 or 5 token panels each year, Bring back the well known image.A hat is an intrinsic part of that.
2) Draw normal “eye brows” on Tracy. We’re tired of the paint-brush size Groucho Marx persona.
3) When you have taken complete Artistic Control and you return Junior to the strip, give us Dick Tracy’s SON. not the wanna-be son of someone else, And let’s have back Junior’s daughter and not a Kilian scrape-up creation named “Jewel” that no one ever heard of before 2002. Honeymoon has been written out the strip.
4) And Jim, when you control the “WRITING” bring back the “CHASE” sequence. It died and is buried under the heavy SOD of those “inexperienced” writing hands of Kilian and Locher
5) DON’T try to MIMIC Dick Locher’s ART style, particularly, his Lillipution sized hands. Let the readers see that a PURIST who respect’s tradition and cLass is back in charge.

Not much different from the comps that real casinos give big spenders.

Perhaps a money laundering scheme is afoot.

I like how Brozman almost ran out of room on the chip card because he couldn’t center the word “Jack’s” correctly.
Should I point out how large Gertie’s head is in the second panel? Nah…It’s bad enough it looks like she has thyroid issues.

Did he get two cards? I thought you got only one card, but I don’t gamble, so I don’t really know what a casino does!!!
