Jay and Ted, Love your stories and this one has been great but I have to agree with LordDogmore that I don’t really see what is preventing Annie from calling home or headquarters or somewhere.
Maybe Annie will get taken in by the kind hearted cook or waitess and stay a couple of days until some how she contacts Warbucks or roughens or the FBI catch up with her.
Or the local law walk in and recognize her as a missing person.
Hmm, Ash you may be onto something. Annie befriends the staff at said diner which is being pressured by the local (corrupt) law enforcement, and Auntie, the FBI, the Blue Circle and the (corrupt) lawmen descend on the diner all at once leaving Warbucks Worldwide to come in and straighten things out.
Hrmmm….
What’s the deal? I was sick a few days and havent even logged on. I come here to try and catch up and notice that not only am I a PRO, everyone else is too! When did I lose my amateur standing? Is this part of the Obama stimulus? If so, I approve!

Aside from that, Annie is great. I wish I could find a nice little restaurant called EATS to have lunch in. I’m so tired of burger joints and chain restaurants. And maybe a place called DRINKS for later.
As far as Annie knows, Warbucks is still somewhere unknown, with a double doing his public appearances.
The plane that HQ sent her blew up, so she may not be ready to give them another shot at her.
But she really should just call one of her many friends to wire her some cash, then head for a secure location.
But her pride and independence keep her from doing that.

Hmmm try this line on for size Annie: “Collect call to Mr. Warbucks from Annie, will you accept the charges?”

LordDogmore, you make too much sense. The story would end too quickly.

This is where Sandy’s trainer reminds Annie that she should always leave a good tip in restaurants.
