This strip pokes fun at right-wing bloggers, and its hero is a corporate CEO who has his own private-sector CIA, and whose daughter is above truancy laws. Something to offend the entire political spectrum.
The jab at bloggers is ridiculous. I’ve never run across a political blog (left or right) that relies on an unnamed friend as a primary news source. Such bloggers do what print pundits do - they respond to documented news stories (which they duly hyperlink).
Now, if the Blue Circle owns all the press, how can bloggers of any ideological persuasion tell when a story is bogus? Of course, that’s a silly question. The Blue Circle is a fun fantasy that can’t possibly exist in real life. A clandestine organization can control only so much of the outside world and remain undiscovered.
all politicians are crooks, all of them. i hope that ends the rightwing leftwing blogger arguement.
Now if the annie guys want to take some political news from the paper to infuse with annie, how about Daddy warbucks starts to ignore the underground desert bunker, that MR Am thing, the dinosaur, and all the other drama and put his full concentration on lobbying the new mexico ranch he is at host the 2016 olympics.

You gotta love those right twingers: instead of a chicken in every pot it’s a skeleton in every closet.

ah, Joe, that would explain why the plane didn’t burn well enough to send a smoke signal to the searchers - no fuel to burn.

“Actually, sir, it’s all over the left-wing blogs, too… I guess it’s a good conspiracy theory.”

Opposed to left-wingers who have more than one. And often displaying one and not calling it a skeleton.
