She knows Shoe won’t give her a break, but he’d love to give her a little beak.

Sex and the city with a bird named Shoe. She’s gonna be disappointed that he thinks Kenneth Cole Haan is one guy.

I hope you didn’t go to the refreshment counter. You would have been crying all night.

I was OK at the movies until the popcorn and Cokes cost more than the admission.

The concession is where the money is in running a theater. Ticket sales tend to go to the distributor, with a thin margin for the house.

At those rates, it’s better to ignore what’s in the theatres and simply BUY the bleeep DVDs to watch at home.

4 years ago I bought a 62” hi-def, 6 channel surround sound movie system for $3500 and have never been back to a movie theater since. The savings from no one dinging my car doors in parking lots with spaces too small for a small car in it self has been a blessing… let alone the $50 it costs for two people with popcorn and a soda… cry fowl Shoe.

I haven’t been to the theatre since the Phantom Menace.

I currently own 386 movies in my movie library. I’ll watch them or Turner Classic Movies if I’m in the mood for a movie.

Of course going to a movie was a lot cheaper many years ago. But it seems like theaters have priced a lot of people out of going today. I remember theaters being packed, but now everyone avoids them to avoid being fleeced. It’s no wonder that they go out of business so often.

How about that surcharge for “renting” 3-D glasses? And they keep making more movies in 3-D. Do I detect a trend?

I remember going to the drive-in movie theater for 25 cents per person, popcorn stand on the way in, little house in the middle with projectors on one end snack-bar on the other. A good family night out for a few dollars.

The second run theatre I go to has $3 tickets, and $3 popcorn that I actually buy the kids because it meets my standards for reasonable ingredients.
