All transitions are hard for kids. Getting them to go somewhere is hard: “I don’t want to go there!” Then getting them to come home is equally hard: “I don’t wanna go home!”

Alice is always so good at following the social graces.

Adults just say “Thanks, I had a good time!” Although when it was time to come home from our trip to the Dominican Republic several of us did throw a tantrum for old times sake.
