This series is making me cringe. It’s funny now, but where’s it going to go? Rock and hard place can’t live like that forever… either Lila shapes up (boo hiss) or Drew cans her (also boo hiss). Maybe she should be transferred to work as Payne’s administrative assistant.
I find it hard to even comment on this strip. Will Lila ever grow up and become an adult? You need that job Lila, not only for your own self but you have Annie now.

I’d be annoyed with a mentor like that, Lila has a surprisingly cheerful attitude! lol

Boyd’s got that right. I hope Helen’s skills are up to the challenge of Lila (…they won’t be…)

I bet it’s going to end up with an opposite result. We won’t Lila’s attitude improve, Helen’s is going down the tubes…

But responsible adults make for poor comedy. Just ask Lucy Ricardo, Ralph Cramden, and “Reverend” Jim Ignatowski.

I have to agree with you Sassy1 (as usual).

There must be something that Lila could do that would interest her more, supply some motivation. She will get fired again.
