Nah. I don’t think there’s anything in “Scout cookies” (how copyright-protecting unspecific!) to make them conducive to food poisoning. If they aren’t visibly moldy after all that time, they’re probably just dried out to the consistency of plywood…still edible, theoretically, if you dunk them in coffee or tea. :)
They were so bad to begin with that I couldn’t give them away- so I no longer buy any sweets from the kids (even the kids I like) because now I can honestly say I don’t eat them- No sugars and practically no white flour etc. I still have my 1 square of dark daily. And if I bake something for a competition I’ll have some.

That’s why I don’t buy them. They’d sit there for 10-20 years before I decided to toss them out.
