Beautifully crafted strip. The art, the language… the colorist forgot the hills (or piles of junk) on the horizon, but Scancarelli’s work is exquisite Americana.
I am still firmly of the belief that Boog will be fine. All the horrible worry and stress that Joel and Rufus are experiencing is indeed sad, but I know that in the end the story arc will turn around and be wonderful and fun. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I look forward to the end of this arc where I anticipate a well behaved Boog, and an ecstatic Rufus, and a quietly joyful Joel rightfully enjoying a few deep pulls from his jug and another pipe. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I must also agree with axe-grinder about the beauty of the strip especially during this story arc with Joel and Rufus…. the drawing has been wonderful, and today I especially enjoy the expression of Becky in the last panel

Maybe Becky knows they need to go back for Boog. I can’t believe it would end this way.
