Good Lord, Jarvis! Look there!... A beached leviathan! Good work, people! Bravo! Clap clap clap clap I don't know how you landed the brute, but well done! Now if there's a hack saw Andy, I'll go to work on the ivory... Blasted stuff is getting harder and harder to come by... Even at black market prices! No sir, I believe they're engaged in returning the creature to the sea oh, I see. A toothless species, eh? Bad luck. Guess it's only sporting to throw it back...

Ooh it seems to be opening its jaws…. say, Sedgie….could you just take a peek at its tonsils? A little closer…. there’s a good lad…..

This is a baleen whale, as Young Master correctly observes in panel 4. But it is unfortunately almost certain that it is too late to return it to the sea. Self-beaching is a tragic fate that no amount of hippy-help(green tee-shirt and ponytail) or Save the Whale effort (light blue tee-shirt) can reverse.

This is some day at the beach Sedgie is having, after all, how many people do you hear complaining about the cost of black market ivory?

I feel for the poor creature. I know when I lay down at the beach, kids from Greenpeace keep trying to “push me back out to sea.” As for Master Sedgewick, his heart is in the right place (it’s his brain that sometimes slips its moorings). Luckily, Jarvis is usually there to help him.
