The Sunday strips were obviously in color originally…but I swear Mr. Schulz did NOT originally draw the pre-Woodstock birds blue. Perhaps I’m wrong/not remembering correctly…but this seems oddly wrong. Hope it’s not a garish incorrect coloring choice by Go Comics for the birds.
Somewhere around I have the original of this, and I seem to recall that the birds were, in fact, blue. Either its the original strip I have, or its an early ’70’s collection . . . either way, I think the colors are correct.
@Red Tornado IMHO! Perhaps you could take your crayons and go color something. I was merely making a comment about the color of the birds, not complaining about the fact the strip was in color.

Real-life lessons I’ve learned from watching classic horror films…never invite the vampire, witch, Frankenstein monster, or bird into your home!

They could have at least invited Snoopy to play.

Now we know why the bird is homeless — he got kicked out for abusing his privileges!

It wasn’t a poker game…they were playing bridge, as usual!

…they didn’t deal him in, either…

@Aaron I believe the birds were playing bridge given that bridge was very common in Peanuts cartoons.

I have a friend who did that to me until she got everything from me she wanted. Then she redefined a friend and excluded me.

Why are the pre Woodstock birds blue instead of yellow?

Well seems to me that Charlie and friends are going to have to re-clean Snoopy’s domicile when those birds are done, don’ you think?
