If everyone’s special, then no one is. (Kinda like somebody’s scientific and philosophical critique: a model that purports to predict everything in fact predicts nothing.)Unique, now, we can all be that. In fact we already are.

Toby is, as teenagers must, learning to admit that other people exist, but allowing them equality to himself… I think you have to outgrow ‘teenager’ to really embrace that.

I think of my teens as “Speshul” as Bill Cosby said. Kids are brain damaged.

As was pointed out on WKRP in Cincinnati, if you give a kid an adult’s mental faculty test, they come out crazy.
