I’ve received several inquiries about the mini-comic since the weekend.. If you’re new here (and, if you are, welcome!), here’s what you need to know:The Endtown mini-comic that I produced for Comicpalooza 2011 is now available to YOU for the offensively low price of $2.50 (price includes s&h, international add $1 for each copy ordered ). Besides sporting a snazzy full color cover (http://tinyurl.com/3uytdhy), it contains an all-new 22 page story that is available nowhere else. And just because I feel like doing it, I’ll sign and personalize (if desired) each and every copy I mail out. Simply pay via PayPal using my email address, aaronneathery@gmail.com, and be sure to include your mailing address. If you can’t pay with PayPal, email me for my snailmail. And, just so you know, I’m completely open to donations. The cat and mouse that live in my head will thank you. :-)

Jack’s about to lead a kristallnacht against Endtown’s “normals.” Fear & hate have a way of making you hard to distinguish from that which you fear & hate. It’s irrelevant whether the object of your fear & hate is the way you imagine. Our loving couple look concerned. Because they believe him or because he’s psychotic? It’s hard to fight a charismatic psycho who’s got the crowd behind him. “Them” is the most obscene 4 letter word ever invented. There must be something wrong with “them” that make them not “one of us.”

I don’t know where this is going, but the story still has me hooked. Seems Wally and Holly are in for a long ride, whatever happens. I hope they pull through together. They seem like such an endearing couple.

There is one sure way to shut this meeting down fast. Someone just has to open up a can of beans in the middle of it..

I don’t think I can recall anyone saying “survival of the fittest” without it leading down a very dark road.

Charles Darwin is no doubt doing somersaults in his grave after having his thesis statement used like this.

Although I have to admit he does make an interesting point about the topsider’s lack of adaptation. They can’t go anywhere without those creepy looking bio-suits.

From the outside looking in, so to speak, we have an inkling that Jack’s rhetoric is destructive rather than constructive but within the tale, I think by Jack weaving in actual truth with the rhetoric it helps to legitimize whatever nonsense he spouts along with it. So listeners can be fooled. Hopefully not our heroine and hero.

I don’t think that Jack Rabbit is giving a motivation Speech for self confidence.

    Wally, Holly…DON’T fall for it.

Aaron, the picture is GREAT!!! Thanks for sharing it.I REALLY liked the faces in panel #2 —-Wally looks on in disbelief, while Holly looks scared, or shocked. Really good job today, Aaron.

I came on here today and realized that it was Saturday. I have to wait the whole rest of the weekend to find out what happens! >: Don’t fall for it, Wally and Holly! They do both look pretty concerned.

The insectoid in the front row must really have a difficult time. The laws of physics would wreck havoc on its ability to move around. It’s the first of its kind we’ve seen so far. The topsider’s encounter suits remind me of the uniforms worn in the movie Wizards.

Apparently Jackrabbit thinks accepting yourself means not accepting others. And when the Topsiders are gone, who becomes the others?

Of course, to be fair, Jackrabbit does have a point: unlike Poland and the other countries Hitler set out to conquer—the Topsiders really DO want to annihilate the Mutants.

I just had a dark realization. Although there’s nothing to say that she ever has, or ever will, even know of Jackrabbit’s ‘self-acceptance’ meetings or his intentions, I wonder if Allie could eventually get sucked into the mentality Jackrabbit’s trying to stir up. She’s already filled with a lot of loathing (alchohol-influenced, of course, but still), has already seen what happens when you show mercy to the enemy, and seems to be in a dark place. She would be a good candidate.
