    That’s not a half bad idea… I know I’ve seen overly abridged versions of the classics for older kids, but this is a good idea…

    I did cartoon illustrations for a Biology textbook supplement once. The publisher saw it and decided that it wasn’t a textbook supplement, but a whole textbook itself. Dunno what that says about our educational system.

    When I was a child, I read some graphic novels that were adaptations of classic books. I’m sure my parents bought them in hopes that I’d be interested enough to read the full versions, but the only one I remember was Jules Verne’s Master of the World, so it’s clear I wasn’t getting my horizons broadened very much. Don’t get me wrong, I still love Verne to this day, but my parents were hoping I’d read something that wasn’t Sci-Fi.
