Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for March 20, 1989
Transcript:
Mom: C'mon, Calvin! This is the third time I've called you. Get up. Calvin: I don't want to get up. I don't want to go to school. Mom: Well, you have to, whether you don't want to or not, so let's move. For your information, I don't have to do anything I don't want to do. Mom: Is that so? Calvin: She sure can make someone want to do something.

You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to, unless it conflicts with what your mom wants.

I’ll bet his mom will force Calvin to dress like a female maid and go door to door offering to clean up people’s houses without charge. Or perhaps make him erase all colors in rainbows in reality if it takes him the rest of his life.

Considering what he has to deal with from Moe, I don’t blame him.
