Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for December 11, 1989
Transcript:
Mom: What are you doing still in bed?! I've called you three times! You're going to miss the bus! Calvin: That's the idea. I'm staying in bed until Christmas. I want tons of loot this year, and I figure my chances of being good improve gratly if I don't get up. Mom: Disobeying your mother and missing the bus isn't good. It's bad. Calvin: That darn Santa has got me every way I turn.

Santa sees you when you’re sleeping. He knows if you’re awake. And he knows how to close every loophole any kid could find in getting around his naughty/nice filter.

His Mom should’ve said it this way: “Things like disobeying your mother and missing the bus aren’t good. They’re bad”.
