“Susie had a face that suggested that somebody upstairs had a weird sense of humor” rolling on floor laughing :’D

Susie certainly has something on Jack and Joe—and she’s squealing if he thinks she’s gonna squeal.

Bill spent a lot of time drawing the background.

I get that Bill Watterson was going for the “detective noir” feeling in these Tracer Bullet arcs, but I just don’t like that he depicted the character as a chain smoker. Personal opinion. I wouldn’t have included the cig, but I am not about to tell Bill how to do his job. Besides, cigs aside, the Tracer Bullet strips are among the best Calvin and Hobbes strips, not only because of the artwork, but the dark comedy, and how Calvin’s imagination translates the real world with this personality.

“Susie and I never hit it off, though occasionally we hit each other.” – One of my favorite Tracer Bullet lines.
