Yeah but more people would just like to mess with the idea and dump out all there trash and litter instead.

That’s right, Lev. You and I are old enough, too, to remember when people DIDN’T litter. We threw trash in the trash receptacles, not all over the ground or out the car window. It wasn’t hard, and I still do that. I actually DO pick up litter and put it in the trash can, and that’s not hard, either. One piece of other people’s trash a day. My sister does it, too.

Geez. Luann doesn’t surprise me, but Bernice does. That attitude is why the world is so messed up.

I work at food for the hungry (weekly volunteer) and I know first hand how we can help. Take 5 min. Showers, ride bikes when we can, hold on to your trash till you find a bin, it’s that simple.

Little things add up. When I order a drink at a restaurant or bar I tell them “no straw” so there will be less in the land fill. I’ve even got a few of my friends starting to do the “no straw” thing. Also, I’ve been using my own bags for about 10 years … even at fast food restaurants. I also tell fast food places not to put in plastic utensils or packets when I have everything at home. I also try to be aware of the amount of packaging there is when I go shopping, although, with some things, excessive packaging is unavoidable.
