Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for March 17, 1991
Transcript:
Calvin: Nyup nchyup. I think a burp died trying to get out of my mouth. I'm thirsty. Monster eyes! Help help! It's after me! It's got me! I can feel its terrible fangs!! Dad: Sleepwalking again! Mom: Let's go back to bed, honey. You had a nightmare. Calvin: Oh, it was you! It sure is creepy having a friend whose eyes glow in the dark. Hobbes: It's so we can see people who might be sneaking out of bed to fix a snack without making arrangements to share.

I wish my eyes can glow in the dark, preferably in either light blue or indigo.

This reminds me of the cat my family had when I was a teenager, and how sometimes his eyes appeared to glow green in the dark. It also helped that he was mostly black with a few white spots on his underside.

Usually when Calvin’s thirsty, he wakes his parents and makes them get a glass of water for him. Now he’s finally figured out how to get his own drink of water. He’s growing up… (sniff)
