Arlo and Janis by Jimmy Johnson for August 15, 2008
Transcript:
"How do you know so much about this family and its business?" "Dad! There's this thing called the internet?" "Doesn't Mary Lou have a child?" "No, Mom! She gave it to a zoo!" "This is a bad time to cop an attitude!" "I'm sorry! Yes, MEg. She's four." "Son, you're in over your head!" "I'm talking about bussing tables!"

Gene is a bit confused. He’ll be bussing Mary Lou before & after (and maybe during) his shift busing tables.

This strip seems so realistic. Boy, you’re not just going to be busting tables. And you are in way over your head. You’ve just made a life-changing decision.

So if Meg was four in 2008, then, according to Jimmy Johnson’s rule (comic strip characters age one year for every two in the real world), Meg is now twelve. She must be giving Gene & Marilou a lot of lip around now.
