Heavy breathing led to someone losing at least part of their hearing once. Some prankster kept calling my mom & breathing heavily into the phone. One time she motioned for me to grab her purse. I handed it to her & she fished out her keyring which had a police whistle. I covered my ears as she took a deep breath. Never had another prank phone call again.
