Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for September 16, 1995
Transcript:
Dad: Our house is still standing. That's a good sign. Mom: We're home! Is everything OK? Rosalyn: Fine. Calvin did his homework, then we played a game, and Calvin went to bed. Dad: It's awfully late for jokes, Rosalyn. Calvin: I've noticed that when you play games with girls, you get captured a lot. Hobbes: Some of us are just irresistible.

I notice this is the first time Hobbes is “alive” since doing his homework. Rosalyn really did a good job letting Calvin have fun with Calvinball.

I’ve concluded Roz must’ve undergone some training in how to deal with a kid like Calvin. Maybe after this, he liked having her as a babysitter.

Rosalyn rules! No bratty kid can hold up forever under a teens rule: they’ve been there done all that themselves a few years before!
