    We people can derive some enjoyment from an understanding of history, the evolution of human myth and a sense of proportion about our place in the world. It’s a shame that you feel a need to censor those who don’t absolutely agree with you.

    Jesus wasn’t born in December. Although Palestine (Israel) is near the Mediterranean, it does get cold in the winter. Shepherds would not have been watching their flocks in the fields. Christ’s birth is celebrated in the winter in order to win over pagans and their observance of the Winter Soltice.
