Montana – if I’m not mistaken, it’s (depending on age/experience) around $10/hr for one child, and $3/hr per extra child … so a 3 child family is $16/hr. That’s what the teens at my church told me anyway.I don’t see no faces today.
Today is a Holdiay for Faces….In all my years I’ve never seena hen’s nest like these INSIDE a hen house….As to the big combs on the hens it’s because of the chemically enhanced feed they get. KFC stuff….
Heck with the faces (though the spots on the upper left chicken could be construed as a couple of them). Has anyone solved the maze in the wood siding yet? ☺
At these rates, she’s not gonna be building up much of a nest egg. She needs to read the future better: it might be an easy job, but it’ll be so much straw in the wind when she needs the money.
Begging everyone’s pardon, but everyone and his neighbor claims to have the “world’s best” ice cream. The Russians do and based on second-hand testimony, that may be one boast they can back up – unless they can beat the Italian gelato I’ve had. That said, I’m always eager for new experiences in ice cream and I wish I could try the Utah version.
The name you see is “Lori,” my wife’s name. I suppose now the jig is up – sometimes, I slip her name into the cartoons. Of course, she never finds it, but I know it’s in there. Not in every cartoon, but in many. Like the “faces” – sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t.

My dad is from Logan. He sure loves ice cream! I guess now I know why. Of course, that doesn’t explain why everybody else does, too, so maybe there’s a flaw in my logic… oh, well, what else is new?

You’re time is coming… muhahahaha!
And thank you all for reading this chicken $#@! cartoon.
I checked the enlargement last night, and noticed the incredible detail in the chicken coop boards……all those swirls and lines. I never connect the name in there, Thom…..I’m glad you shared that with us!
I can’t seem to get today’s (Thursday) comic for some reason……..so………..I’ll just say hi and bye for now. We’re heading out of South Las Vegas to San Diego right now.

Easy money. I would have at least had a couple eggs thrown in.

The babysitter has bows on her shoes and a bow in her hair. A bit much, methinks.

For hens, those chickens have mighty big combs.

If she didn’t have the job, she’d just be brooding around at home anyway.
