    All he has to do is put a sign up giving the correct prices and apologizing for the error. Stores do that kind of thing all the time and nobody complains as long as they’re warned before they get to the register.

    Nobody complains? Wow, I worked at a couple supermarkets (as scan coordinator, no less, though I didn’t make the flyers) that had such mistakes occasionally and it seemed every single customer was ready to engage into unholy rage and bloodlust. Don’t even get me started on when they failed to include purchase limits into the sales flyer.

    (Not that it was always completely unjustified, mind you, as some (allegedly) received the flyer in the mail and drove from relatively far to cash into the “great” savings.)
