Let’s see, the IRS takes in over $200 million a week on our quarterly installments. That money goes where? Congressional pension payments?

If Social Security is insolvent, it’s because the Republicans are sabotaging it (like they do everything else in government) to give them an excuse for shutting it down.

I’ll admit, even me, being Canadian, I feel a wee bit insecure with the way things are going right now.

There’s supposed to be a system of checls and balances. If you don’t have a balance, you’re not supposed to write checks…

The Social Security trust fund has a balance of $2.6 TRILLION. Rates started going up in 1986 so there would be plenty of money when baby boomers began to retire. In 2010 Social Security brought in $68.6 billion more than it paid out. I’m having a lot of trouble understanding why our politicians are blaming our financial situation on Social Security!

The left blames eveything bad on Bush. The right blames the left handed dark skinned guy …you know. I blame the 434 + other guys in foggy bottom. We must arrange a real change.

I find it hard to believe that even with a gun, someone would get to speak with a person at Social Security.

Now that I can examine the picture under magnification, I see a nice head in the middle of the brunette’s middle pile of hair..I also note a resemblance in face on the guy’s pants—but except that it seems rather anal-retentive, I can’t think of anything.

Hey, Guys…….I leave for a few days, and NOBODY finds any faces? What’s a matter, you????

So, there are two faces in the girls’ hairdos……and three really neat faces on the crook’s right pant leg…..I like the one with the pocket the best. His shirt has a sad face, too.

We are on our way back to Montana…….we have some shopping to do along the way, and hope to be home by Friday! Woo Hoo!!!!

Reagan & the Democratic Congress raised the Social Security Tax & age, so that the boomers would be covered. Then we all got Alzheimer’s, borrowed the money, said we had a surplus & gave ourselves tax cuts.

Dutchoven is correct. You can do a lot of different bookkeeping tricks to make it look insolvent. Also one must point out various presidents from various parties have borrowed from the system for pet wars and projects and not paid the system back, The Ponzi scheme idea is the real lie. If you pay out to your investors, there is no scheme about it. So long as the libertarians will pay me back every cent i put in plus interest, I promise to not laugh myself silly at their idea of “government while I’m living in Canada with their cheap, government financed medical care system.”

We Canadians just have SIN to deal with. Social Insunce Numbers. Whether they have money for us, I don’t know, but they say that money is the root of all evil, so likely they have it.
