Though Wiley does these strips in advance, he must know when they’ll be shown. Carolina is playing at New England today. Or was that too obvious too everyone?

    I like Obvious Man.

Remember, the third party he conjured up is called “Connecticut for Lieberman”, not “Lieberman for Connecticut”.

Joe Lieberman may (ironically) be the most honest man in the US Senate.

It’s far more important and affects your life much more to participate in local government than in the federal government.

Ji2m, term limits have the exact opposite effect than what they are intended for.. The office holder has no reason to do anything the voters want, in his last term. Heck he’s being thrown out of office anyway. And since he’s gonna need a job, he might as well suck up to the people who apy the lobbyists, deregulate their industry, give them sweetheart deals, you know, the very things term limits are supposed to limit! Then they will hire him when he gets dismissed from office. Not to mention it takes away the right Americans to vote for their candidate…In that sense it’s un-American

Dracips was saying how term limits cause more corruption. I would say that dishonest people cause corruption. If someone can be bribed they will be bribed because they have not made the decision and habit of always being honest. This is especially needed in a politician to whom we the public have entrusted the sacred duty of representing our interests. So when that person decides that they are going to put their own interests first, we have a real problem. This is why de Toqueville predicted America would fail once it’s people lost their moral compass. In this time of relativism there is little hope for a reform or renewal of our body politic.

Money talks, bulls@#t walks…What amazes is the small value these politicians place on their careers…To f#%k-up your political career at 70 or 80 for a few hundred thousand? Is there an honest man?

Term limits is (obviously) not the solution. As long as people are aware of what their rep is doing, he/she would be re-elected if doing good and thrown out if doing bad, The problem is money. With enough money a bad politician can get re-elected by obscuring the truth. Lobbying needs to be extremely regulated or eliminated and donations of all forms limited drastically.
