The Endtown mini-comic that I produced for Comicpalooza 2011 is now available to YOU for the offensively low price of $2.50 (price includes s&h, international add $1 for each copy ordered ). Besides sporting a snazzy full color cover, it contains an all-new 22 page story that is available nowhere else. And just because I feel like doing it, I’ll sign and personalize (if desired) each and every copy I mail out. Simply pay via PayPal using my email address, aaronneathery@gmail.com, and be sure to include your mailing address. If you can’t pay with PayPal, send payment to:Aaron NeatheryPO Box 920558Houston, TX 77292And, just so you know, I’m completely open to donations. The cat and mouse that live in my head will thank you. :-)
Tell you what, Aaron, I kind of miss the lengthy form the comic had in the earlier story. Here, you don’t have much more opportunity to influence the reader’s focus than up, down, right, left, and how much you zoom in on one character; but in the end, the identical size of the panels reduces any tension you created again. (Though obviously I don’t know which arrangement you would have chosen for this strip in a horizontal layout.) In the horizontal layout, you sometimes emphasized i.e. the emptyness of the wastelands by adding half, or doubling the length of a usual panel. I think this strip would be suited well for a different layout, though I think you said this square layout were the only possibility here.
Wally picks the oddest time to ’fess up.Now, not only have to wory about him on this mission…I also have to add worry about what Flask is going to do to him!
Woohoo, Flask’s looking ‘curvy’ in panel 4….uncatlike…..and I hope Wally and Petey are whispering even thoughthey think Flask is asleep. Basic self preservation…..
@harmgb I think it’s rather the stalky, drilled way she seems to “move” usually that is uncatlike. How can “curvy” be that? :) Comparing her to a cat, I’d even just expect her to make a half-turn, letting her hands dangle onto her chest, digging her head into the cushion looking left, all the while trying to turn right. It looks amazing on a cat, though it might look somewhat silly on a humanoid.

I think Petey and Wally will make a good team. It’s Flask that worries me.

Level Head, I like that you included the Doc Rat voting link in your sig. Nice touch.
Flask looks soooo cute when she’s sleeping! Petey should scratch her behind her ears.

Love the way this story line is going, Aaron and I really like the team you’ve put together for this mission. It has all sorts of possibilities.
dbig 1oohh: I seriously doubt that Flask is asleep at all.

Now I’m really starting to suspect Ally for that report. In the meantime, as the saying goes….“Let sleeping Flask lie…”

It just occurred to me that Wally is a Pole cat.
