Went right over my head too.

I suspect the cartoonist expects us to make up our own explanation of what happened. And I suspect he thinks that makes the cartoon subtle and sophisticated. He should have sent this one to the New Yorker.

I totally don’t get it either.

This is hillariouis. I knew the squirrels were out to get me.

Isn’t this related to “I know what you did last summer”?? They hit the guy with their car and one of them freaks out that he’s not getting up or moving?

What’s funny about this one is that none of the squirrels realize that this happens all the time. Squirrel-related accidents are one of the biggest causes of fatalities during camping.
