She must be staying for a week . . . that’s just about how long snail mail will take for it to arrive.

How can he bear to be without it for so long?

He’s doing his best to protect his safety net, Hariseldon. This way at least he knows he’ll get it back; with Grandma around he might lose it forever.

I’m with hariseldon. Remember Linus’ total freakout when Lucy was giving him frantic updates on the washing and drying of the blanket? I give him 3 panels worth of sweat drops and increasingly frazzled hair before he starts clawing his way into the mailbox.

that is a good theory, but the Postal Service does loose some mail, there is no guarntee it will return to him intact ><

If he puts his own address on the return corner and doesn’t put any postage or not enough postage on it it will come back to him marked “Insufficient Postage.”

There is always a creative solution to a problem. We just have to think outside the box.

There are no problems, just solutions. And as long as you’ve got sufficient postage, it should work, Linus.

Now that is a smart move.

DOOMED! I tell you. It will be lost forever in the deep dark hole known as the dead letter department. All because he did not use zip+4 correctly – pathetic really. Poor Linus.

Linus is sharper than most people want to give him credit.

He’s more trusting than I am with the US Postal system :)

Has anyone else ever observed that the Postal Service seems to never lose bills? As for Linus and the blanket, his Grandmother shouldn’t be allowed to have any say about it. Only Linus can make the decision for himself whether to leave it behind or not.

When it is a check or a late notice from a bank or mortgage company(with a daily charge attached to it), the postal service is always slow (it takes 10 days to get across town). Unless you send it signature receipt requested, they will always claim it got to them late, but when they “find” the payment, the late notice gets to your mailbox the next day.

Methinks that the postal service gets a bad rap.

Linus can really be delusional sometimes. If he so dependent upon having that blanket around all the time, how can he stand to wait for it to arrive back in the mail? Anyway, what’s not to say that it may not accidentally get lost in the mail or delivered to the wrong address? If that happens, that would serve him right for trying to be deceitful. If he has to have the blanket, then just “man up” and tell granny.
