Does it ‘bug’ you that Calvin is a human insect two days in a row? Is it better to say “two days in a row”, or “two consecutive days” …or does it matter?
While Calvin’s parents aren’t exactly Ward and June Cleaver by any stretch of the imagination, I certainly hope that this would not be their first reaction to his death!
whitecarabao said“… You can have similar fun with the results of spell checkers where all the words pass spell check but are all the wrong words (even worse are all the words that spell check flags as incorrect but the dictionary says are correct; so people change the word to something incorrect)”
__This happens increasingly frequently. I wonder if we’re going to end up returning to spelling the way they did in Shakespeare’s time… flexibly.

@Number Six,Apparently Calvin is “turning over a new leaf”. He ‘reformed’ as a human insect, didn’t he?

It’s a good thing that Calvin doesn’t drink alcoholic beverages. He might be going on a bender in the binder.

Calvin is lingering so long on a page that he could be arrested and ‘booked’ for loitering.

I wanted to make a pun using the word “flip” as in “flip the page” and his parents “flipping out”, but it was too lame.

Since I’m learning English, I don’t know which I find more interesting, and comic, the strips or the comments?

Silence isn’t necessarily golden in Calvin’s house. Besides, he’s getting some early practice to become a bureaucrat…

Hmm—with that dense text, that doesn’t look like a 6-year-old’s schoolbook. No wonder it’s taking him 20 minutes to turn a page.

Did Gocomics buy just 1 year’s worth of C&H strips? I definitely read this one recently and just about the only place I would have read it is here.
