Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
My daughter had to do a worm survey for homework last term. It was a project run by a scientist from the Natural History museum and the pack included a sachet of dry mustard for getting the worms to rise â so thatâs evidently the official scientific method!
My wifeâs latest project is raising red worms which she is feeding vegetable scraps, coffee grounds and newspapers. Her intend is to make compost tea for our garden.
This is one Iâve never seen! We did the" worm dance" when it stopped raining so we could collect them for fishing. Of course, we accidently threw them at one of my sisters when collectingâŚwe were helping her!
Love, love, love Hobbesâ expression in the last panel!
Â
:-)
Â
Itâs all well and good to go âwormuckingâ when youâre wearing your rain boots . . . not so much when youâve got bare feet . . . uh, I mean, bare paws!!!!!
@ Number9?: Quite Right YOU are, Sir! Iâm cancelling my Rosetta Stone English audio courses as we speak. âGoing with the MasterâŚ.summer living in the Hamptons!!!!â
(Before long, olâ Dear Abby ainât gonna have nothing on me!)
Sounds like Calvinâs going worm charming. In some parts this is serious competition (you are given a square of soil and have a set amount of time to âcharmâ the most number of worms to the surface). Various techniques are considered better than others for charming worms and some are even banned under competition rules!
Calvin, realizing that heâs on the school bus, suddenly emits a terrible cry of anguish⌠âAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!âDad (with his morning paper and cup of coffee): âFirst day of school?âMom: âFirst day of school.â

âThe rain stopped.â Why does Hobbes take out an umbrella?Doesnât he trust Calvinâs meteorological observation and implied prognostication?
