Today’s Calvin and Hobbes is a variation on a strip by Charles Schulz:Click here: Peanuts (1958)Charles Schulz’s influence can often be seen in Calvin and Hobbes, but usually as a variation with an original twist. Here is a quote from Bill Watterson:“Peanuts and Pogo have been inspirations. These strips… are much closer to my own way of thinking, and have had much more direct influence. Even so, I try to keep the cases of blatant plagiarism to a minimum.”
panel 1 reminds me of that episode of db zwhen goku and gohan stay a super sayin the whole day i wonder if before panel 2 a short man threw a rock on his forehead and hobbes went super sayin!!!
Well, let’s be fair… he can’t check every day of every cartoon ever made before drawing each of his own. I suspect it is more a case of “Great minds warp alike”.

It isn’t often that Calvin’s not saying or doing anything.

Interesting factoid for a Monday morning: it’s not just a tiger’s fur that’s striped. Their skin is striped, too.

Well it’s keeping his nose black instead of pink, at least. Though he should probably use sunscreen on that, too!

There’s a remedy; when Hobbes is naughty, Calvin can tan his hide.
