    Hi Ho everybody.

An other story: In the town of Newbury, Vermont on new years eve day early in the morning 1957, a man named Orville Gibson went out to the barn for morning chores, never to seen alive again.

The body was found in the spring lying face down in the river (Connecticut river).

After intensive investigation the police came up empty.

After fifty plus years the mistery has never been solved.

    Well catch ya later.

    \\//_

    Good Morning, VagaBonds….

What a gorgeous day yesterday was! It only got up to 76, and the clouds finally lifted around 5 p.m. giving us a clear sky until around 11 p.m., then the next wave rolled in.

    I have a movie question for y’all……..

What movie(s) does John Wayne sing in?

@ MontanaLady:I don’t know the title of the movie, but I know the story about it.It was the era of the “Singing Cowboy”. and the studio (don’t know which) wanted their “Singing Cowboy” star, too.I saw a short clip of Wayne on a white horse, singing. Easy to understand why it never worked. J.W. was a great cowboy, but most certainly not a singer. :-)))

I don’t remember the name of the movie either, but I do remember seeing it. I don’t think the Duke actually sang though. The singing voice was dubbed in.

Wow……everyone sure knows their John Wayne.

However, the movie we watched the other night was “The Comancheros”………and he was singing up a storm. “Oh the Moon Shines on Pretty Red Wing…..” He and Lee Marvin sang it, and were just a little tipsy.

I remember him singing in Donovan’s Reef (again with Lee Marvin), I’m sure there are more…….but, Slim you are right, he was a great cowboy……not singing cowboy!

That honor still goes to Roy and Gene.
