    I don’t know. Every Border’s in the area was about 8 miles out of my way, while Barnes’ and Nobles’ are conveniently located.And the indy bookstore about 25 miles away is still doing good business.

    I am going to miss borders. No longer will I be able to drive by and see Liberals under glass in their natural habitat.

    which begs the question, what is the natural habitat of the …uh…non-liberal? In front of the tv set tuned to fox news?and where will this non-liberal get his copies of the latest palin or limbaugh books?making fun of people who READ seems like flimsy ground to stand on

    I think Backderf makes a good point. The box book store really did a number on the indies. Now ebooks are doing the same to them. Hopefully, this will bring about a return to small specialty book shops, and especially used and rare book shops, a market that the ebooks can’t compete with.The whole liberal/conservative thing? What the hell does that have to do with reading??? Not everything is political, folks.
