Luann by Greg Evans and Karen Evans for December 10, 2000
Transcript:
Delia is eating a corn dog, Bernice drinking a soft drink. Delia says, "Dignity is way overrated." Bernice says, "Absolutely. In fact, trying too hard to be dignified isn't emotionally healthy." Delia says, "So true. People who NEED to be dignified lack self-esteem." Bernice says, "Yup. Besides, what IS 'dignity' anyway?" Delia says, "Indeed. What seems proper today is laughable tomorrow." Bernice says, "It is SO important to accept who you are and be happy with yourself." A wide view of the scene shows they are at a school carnival. They have also been talking to Luann, who is wearing a false nose and sticking her head through a sign that says, "Klobber The Klown." Her head adorns the top of a clown's body on the sign. Luann says, "Thanks. I feel so much better now." Delia and Bernice walk away, Delia saying, "Glad we could help." Bernice says, "We're gonna go on some rides now. See ya."
