Rip Haywire by Dan Thompson for August 22, 2011
Transcript:
Cobra: Rip worked alone all Sunday on something. He even missed "meet the press"! What is he up to? TNT: Beats me, but it was the most relaxing day I've had in a long time. "Meet the press" is so stressful! Rip: It's finished! Cobra: What the what? Rip: I made an air boat! I thought, what would B.A. Baracus do? If we survive the first 5 minutes in it, there's a good chance we'll live through the entire trip. TNT: Can't you get your ideas from MacGyver next time? He was much safer!

Come on, TNT! Rip had a lot to work with, so he had to emulate BA Baracus. If he’d made an airboat out of some string, a paperclip and tin foil THEN he’d be MacGyvering!

And, if he didn’t understand any of the science talk but let the smart people come up with the idea he’d be Jack O’Neilling it. Also R. D. Anderson.

I was expecting something a bit more Rube Goldberg than B.A. Baracus.

So that’s what you do with a wingless airplane.

And putting an airplane propeller on a boat as close to “goin’ on a plane” as B.A. Baracus would probably get. Don’t you just love it when a plan comes together?

At least he was not going by Red Green’s way of building everything with DUCT TAPE.

Ah, but is Rip’s cool new airboat rustproof? :-)
DorianKTB about 13 years ago
Does it run on Haywire power? :-)
