I like fall, because the biggest âupâ comes right after â Remembrance Day, than Winter and Christmas. I donât like Spring much, because it leads to the icky heat of summer. :(..Morning Neighbours! Have a wonderful day.
I donât mind the raking of all our leaves in the Fall (as theyâre usually completely off the trees by the time really cold weather rolls around) nearly as much as I mind having to constantly rake all the leaves that fall off our neighborâs huge Pin Oak tree into our back yard all throughout the winter and into the next Spring! :-(
Hey Michael, canât you and Lawrence rake up great big piles of leaves and then jump in them repeatedly? Youâll get filthy dirty, but itâs great fun.
I have 3 trees in my front yard, of the maple leaf family â kind with those spikey seed balls ⊠the middle tree sheds first, then the north tree, then the south tree â in that order, every year. Never all together. My lawn gets so covered, I can rake and mow and in 1 hour, it looks like I didnât do anything. Yes, theyâre beautiful, just tiring. I call them âSan Diego Snowâ since we donât get the slushy variety on the West Coast in Fall and Winter.

I find it hard to enjoy fall because I know what comes next â itâs all about lifeâs ups and downs, Michael!

For some folks, every silver lining has a cloud. This can get old pretty quickly.

I miss the days of people actually raking. The constant blowers drive me batty.
