I could grudgingly accept a fiscally conservative Repub even with nutty religious views as long as s/he believed in the separation of church and state. Sadly, they never seem to.
The Tea Partyers need to find someone better than the religious types like Bachmann and Perry or the RINOs like Huntsman and Romney (who may also be a religious type too; does anyone know if he wears Mormon underwear like his father did?)
