    Fall means we will soon get that cold weather we were wishing for when we got within two days of tying the records for most days over 100°F and the most consecutive days that hot. Then we can wish for summer to thaw out.

    Funny thing: Bob didn’t jump. He got all green again. It’s his next door neighbour Pete, who got yellow with envy and sailed away. Maybe because he realised he just lost his last chance with Alice. Coming to think of it, actually it should be Alice who should have left, since she was living next door to Bob and Pete, who would then form a Band and get famous as Smokey leaves…
