My Mom used to tell me that when I was a baby, our dog would ride in the stroller with me. Unhappily, he was stolen before I was old enough to have any memory of him. A bit later, when I was still quite pre-school, but post-stroller, I would get tired of walking at a pace to keep up with the grown-ups and ask Mom or Dad to “carry me up.”

I’m 58. Two years ago, I was carded at the U2 concert at Giants Stadium. Found out later that beer vendors were under instructions to card everyone.
