Baker: Hi, honey! Aw, she's adorable! Is she talking yet? Here, this is for her. Can you say, "cookie," sweetheart? Say "COOKIE"! Yum yum yum! Alice: Ew. It's got raisins in it! Mom: ALICE. That was rude! Alice; Well, who gives a cookie full of raisins to a baby?

What a nice, sweet Bakery Lady! I hope she doesn’t hold Alice’s ill manners against Madeline! (I like raisin cookies!)

LOL! “That’s what we love about children… they’re so honest. They tell the truth.” ~ (Remember that Bill Cosby routine? “You told me not for to take the cookie”)

Classic Alice. The cookie lady will have a story to tell when she gets home. I prefer spinach in my cookies.

In the last panel Alice looks like a red-haired Uncle Fester from Charles Addams. Scary.

alice is a wonderful piece of work

The bakery lady should have given her a Snickerdoodle cookie. They’re hard as rock and can keep Alice chewing for awhile.

I’m with Alice on this one. Dried fruit is wrong in all forms (OK, Craisins aren’t too bad), and raisins ruin anything they’re added to. It was best said in Benny and Joon – raisins are “humiliated grapes.”

Raisins are gross. They look like dead flies. And they’re way too sweet and stick in your teeth. Ew.

I love raisons soaked with my vanilla in my breakfast bars. Now that I have them daily I am incorporating even more stuff in the bars, but they are best with oatmeal, hulled sunflower, milled flax, plenty of chopped walnuts and a good solid whole wheat flour with extra wheat germ and a good 4 T of cinnamon.

A touch of peanut butter is delicious in them also.

Well, I for one appreciate Alice’s comment. After all, raisins are dead grapes…
