Mom: Careful, Alice, we're going down a hill now. Alice: I am careful. I got tired of sitting in the stroller. Mom: I'll be you did. You were a cute baby once. Now I'm glad you're a cute four-year-old instead. Alice: Being a baby was boring. It made me tired. Carry me. Mom: ALICE!

Yes! —Except that, as noted the other day, I used to say “carry me up”! Redundant at an early age! Wonder where the stroller will end up.

very elegant division of the continual scene into panels by the two trees…

I have no kids and no plans to have any, but couldn’t this have been solved with a li’l bike with training wheels? Mom walks, Alice pedals.
Though it would probably be best to get a li’l bike with a li’l speed limit built in. Is there such a thing? If not, I guess there’s always the leash option.

I don’t get it

And I’ll bet the eggs were in the stroller too. Sigh. And yeah, ditto the comment on the trees as panel dividers. Brilliant. Comic strips can be art.

Not so cute anymore, huh Mom!?

What’s Alice going to do later on? No exercise, just sitting before the TV munching on chips. By then she’ll be too obese for a stroller.

I like this strip. Another strip that I really like is “Freshly Squeezed” … I suggest you add it to your “Comic Page” and read it for a few days … I think you will want to keep it there. It is very well drawn and written.

Love the artwork in this one, with the trees dividing the panels. Excellent work as always, Mr. Thompson! And funny, too. Can’t beat that!

Looks like the stroller is on its own? But swiftly!
