That is so true! When I was about 5 years old, I thought I was seeing beetles crawling on my Mom’s nightgown. I started hitting her and screaming. My poor Mom had to take off her nightgown and I still remember looking at her and wondering just where did those beetles go. My Mom later told me that she took my temperature which at that time was 105 and got a wet handcloth to cool my head. My Dad said, if my temperature did not break by morning, they would have to call the hospital. The thing was they would also would of had to call for a snowplow because a snowstorm had gone through the area about 3 days before. Fortunately for me, my fever broke and I was feeling a little better in the morning.

There was an incident when my husband was a child where he hallucinated his fingers were “skinny” like bones and he could see Tetley Tea Men dancing around everywhere.

……PLUS he swapped out Spongebob for that kid from Adventure Time. Huh when I was little Adventure Time was a local kids program hosted by Paul Shannon. Thats wher we watched The 3 Stooges.

I haven’t seen this arc before and am enjoying it, especially since I’m feeling a bit in sympathy with Heart at the moment.

When I had one of those fevers, I counted on Captain Kirk to help me remember where the basket was… so I didn’t miss.

When I was a kid and had a really high fever I had a hallucination that I could fly. Lucky for me I was too sick to give it a try.
