Nah, if she had the makings of a good political columnist, she’d have written, “Charlie Brown wants to implement policies that will bankrupt the school budget and poison kids.”
It seems Violet was always mean and pigheaded-worse than Lucy, She bragged all the time to Charlie Brown that her house was bigger than his and that her parents had a bigger insurance policy than his parents. But I kind of miss Violet, Patty, Shermy, and Pig-Pen. I adore ReRun, but the strip now is mostly about Snoopy’s brother Spike, Woodstock and his buddies, and Peppermint Patty and Marcie. Oh well…
Isn’t Violet’s hair lighter than Lucy’s? Perhaps that is the confusion… Does anyone know a girl, a very minor character, who was so pleasant to Charlie Brown, compared to, say, Peppermint Patty who, though she liked Charlie Brown, sort of ran him over. This other girl is fun-loving, easy-going. I thought her name was Gina, but the archivist says no. Please help!
Not really sure if they’re still for sale, but there are several links online. Here’s one that has all of the characters of Peanuts… http://collectpeanuts.com/wp/talk-peanuts/peanuts-features/meet-the-peanuts-gang/
Peggy Jean also has her own facebook page! If you do a search for “peggy jean in comic strips”, you can find out more about the character. She apparently ran in Peanuts strips throughout the 1990s.
Aah… I looked up Peggy Jean. She is not who I’m looking for. Dang it. No one seems to know who I’m talking about, a cute girl who’s almost coy-ish to Charlie Brown, very appealing. She stands in contrast to Peppermint Patty, who is so overpowering to Charlie Brown, while this girl is just kind! I could swear her name was Gina, but somehow I seem to have lost my mind on this one. No one knows who I’m talking about! Thanks anyway for your help. :)

They should have hired her as their speechwriter.

The reportrix or reportress (I always get my trices and tresses confused) looks a little like Violet.

I think Violet put it better than CB ever could.

Yes, political analysts make up things that people say all the time.

I never liked Violet…CB should have told her to buzz off…and put that in the paper.

My, how times have changed.

Yup…Give the readers what you think they want to hear, not what the figure actually said…

This strip is an example of why I dislike Violet.

It seems she didn’t want to write down Linus’ and Charlie Brown’s actual words so she just wrote down thant one phrase.

A speechwriter for when Bush was the president.

Violet actually did that to Linus after a big speech about religion and politics.

With CB’s luck, he was probably out someplace when another reporter (the little red-haired girl) came to interview him.

I’m with you, Number 3… I think Charlie Brown would make a good leader!

Thank you! How can I find a strip with Peggy Jean in it?
