I was expecting this strip on Sunday. I just knew this liberal idiot would have something stupid to say. Thanks for not disappointing.

if people dont want to be reminded then turn off the TV, don’t read the internet news and dont buy a newspaper…..the rest of us need to grieve.

@afficioandoopen your TV and see just how true this is. Don’t kill the messenger or in this case, the satirist.

I do not feel the cartoonist is disrespecting either the event, or the need for people to remember and honor the lives lost. What he is speaking against is the media circus who-can bleed-the-“reddest-whitest-blue-est” competition. There is nothing ‘liberal’ about his depiction or opinion.

It’s the people who are creating the 9/11 media circus – “all 9/11 all the time” – that are showing a lack of respect. True patriots don’t go making a spectacle of their patriotism. Patriotism should be the same as Matthew 6 says about prayer: “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men.”

Ok this strip is not about 9-11 the event but about the media circus and politicizing of it all, the people being lampooned are all media, politicians or shallow reality TV stars. if you think this strip is disrepectful you are missing the point. if anything it’s saying we’ve lost focus of the importance of the attack and what it means to us as a nation.
